It was a impressive performance as Bangladesh, came from behind, earned a fighting 1-1 goal draw against upper ranked Lebanon in their home match of FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers preliminary round-2 held at Bashundhara Kings Arena on Tuesday.
Bangladesh could not win the match despite playing good brand of football. The team, wasted number of scoring opportunities before Morsalin's goal, fell behind in the second half. However, the hosts quickly turned around from there to restore the score line and eventually left the field snatching one point.

Bangladesh could have gone ahead in the first half. Promising forward Shekh Morsalin squandered another easy chance in the injury time as he failed to connect the ball with foot from the small D-box close range off a cross from the right wing.
After the resumption, substitute forward Majed Osman finally broke the deadlock in the 65th minute with a placing shot in the open net after substitute custodian Mehedi Hasan Srabon came forward to clear the ball.
The 18-year old promising young star Morsalin brought back Bangladesh in match in the 73rd minute with a superb powerful long range shot giving no chance to Lebanon's custodian Matar under the bar.
Bangladesh played good brand of football, almost in the proceeding, but they failed to take the reap lacks of proper finishing.
