The Bangladesh Cricket Board is all set to extend their helping hands to the ailing former Bangladesh national football team captain, Mohammad Mohsin.
The 60-year-old star goalkeeper of the 1980s and '90s is suffering from a severe ailment and currently lives in Dhaka with his brother.
His plight came into the public domain, and BCB has come forward to extend its help after a report published in a national daily on Monday.
‘Bangladesh Cricket Board always stands by sportspeople from any discipline who are in trouble. Mohsin Bhai's issue is similar, and it has come to the board president's notice,’ said BCB chief executive officer Nizamuddin Chowhdury.
‘He has instructed us to take measures to give him all the support," BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury told reporters regarding board president Nazmul Hassan's directive. ’
Nizamuddin said that the board president has directed him to extend any help that the former footballer needs.
‘His family hasn't directly asked for any financial help. They have said about his physical condition that we want to have him physically assessed as soon as possible for his physical issues.’
‘We have also instructed our legal advisors to extend legal help to him regarding disputes over his land and property,’ the BCB CEO concluded.
