Taskin gets countless proposals

Bangladesh fast bowler Taskin Ahmed claimed that he got ample offers by the players from the different part of the world to vie in their respective T20 franchise competitions while he was featuring in the recently concluded Zimbabwe Afr0 T10 League in Harare.

However, Taskin managed them citing his hectic national commitments.

‘Players from various parts of the world who were playing in the tournament, asked whether you would be available during our tournaments, since you are performing well here,’ said Taskin to the reporters upon his return.

‘I told them I would let you know later as I used to play in all three formats of the game.’

The country’s pace spearhead returned to Dhaka from the meet on Monday just a day prior to the commencement of fitness training camp of the Bangladesh national team for the approaching Asia Cup for my nation.’

Taskin who played in the outfits of Bulawayo Braves in the competition, finished with 11 wickets in seven games was contended thanks to his up to par performance in the meet.

‘Although we couldn’t mark a spot in the final as a team, nonetheless I as an individual performed well and I could execute my plans along with a nice rhythm.’

Taskin’s Bulawayo Braves finished with the bottom position of the competition as they secured only three wins while losing the remaining five ties out of their eight encounters of the competition.

Recently, the Bangladesh Cricket Board denied Taskin a No Objection Certificate for vying in the ongoing edition of Lanka Premier League as they wanted him fully fit during the upcoming Asia Cup that starts on August 30.

The 28-year-old acknowledged that he was not feeling unlucky not featuring in LPL that kicked-off on Sunday.

‘No, I am not feeling unlucky at all. Not only from the LPL, I also managed calls from the all major T20 franchise competitions.’

‘Pray for my physical well being. If I am fit, I will be able to play in more big tournaments in future.’
