Afghanistan rested their star campaigner Rashid Khan as they won the toss against Bangladesh and chose to bat first in third and final one-day international at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram on Tuesday.
The home side opted for three changes bringing in Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam and Taijul Islam replacing Mustafizur Rahman, Hasan Mahmud and Ebadot Hossain.
Ebadot was ruled out of the game along with the approaching T20I series against the same counterparts after he suffered a knee injury during the second ODI.
Apart from Rashid the visitors also rested Mohammad Saleem while included Abdul Rahman and Zia-ur-Rahman in the playing XI.
The game has turned out to be a must win for the host Bangladesh to avoid a clean sweep as the visitors are already 2-0 up in the three one-day international series.
