Bangladesh veteran opener Tamim Iqbal is all set to play in the forthcoming 10th edition of the Bangladesh Premier League cricket for Fortune Barishal that is due to begin in January 2024.
According to the media cell of the franchise owner, the 34-year-old who played in the outfits of the Khulna Tigers’ in the last edition, has signed a one-year contract with Barisal for the approaching season of the meet.
Tamim who freshly announced his retirement from international cricket on Thursday in an emotional press conference in his hometown Chattogram, reversed it after the Prime Minister called him up in his official residence, Ganabhaban.
The southpaw would return to international cricket with the upcoming Asia Cup that was anticipated to be held in Sri Lanka.
