Bangladesh stand-in-captain Liton Das has won the toss and chose to bowl first against Afghanistan in the second of the three one-day internationals at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Saturday.
The home side has included the right-handed pacer Ebadot Hossan Chowdhury replacing Taskin Ahmed while returning the top order batsman Mohammad Naim who played his last ODI against Sri Lanka in May 2021, in place of Tamim Iqbal.
Tamim who got out for 13 runs in the series opener on Wednesday has been rested for one month and half by the Bangladesh Prime Minister after the former met the latter at the official residence Ganabhaban on Friday.
Earlier on Thursday the country’s veteran opener made an abrupt announcement of retiring from international cricket.
However, the visiting Afghans have opted for remaining unchanged from their first game.
