A Bangladesh national team selection panel member said that Rony Taulkdar expected to manage a call for the remaining two one-day internationals against Afghanistan taking place at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
According to him, the 32-year-old right-handed top order batsman has an 80 percent chance of being included in the national set-up for the series.
Tamim, who played in the opener of the three ODIs against Afghanistan, announced his retirement from international cricket earlier on Thursday in his hometown, Chattogram.
‘Not 100 percent, but I can give you an 80 percent guarantee on his inclusion for the last two ODIs,’ said a member of the selection panel while talking to Sportsmail24.com.
Rony featured in his lone ODI against host Ireland in March of this year.
