With the hosts needing 164 runs in a 43 -over a side game, managed 83-2 in 21.4 overs and were declared the winner as the match was called off after the rain interrupted for the third time.
For the Afghans, opener Ibrahim Zadran remained unbeaten on 41 while Rahmanullah Gurbaz finished with 22, their next highest.
Shakib Al Hasan and Taskin Ahmed claimed one wicket apiece for the home side.
Towhid Hridoy scored the top with 51 runs while Liton Das chipped in with 26 runs for Bangladesh.
Fazalhaq Farooqi was the peak of the Afghans bowlers snaring 3 while Mujeeb-Ur-Rahman took and Azmatullah Omarzai and Mohammad Nabi claimed one wicket apiece.
Afghanistan had the upper hand from the very outset of their hunt as they surpassed the fifty-run threshold without any interruption courtesy of their opening pair Rahmanullah and Ibrahim before they were dismissed.
However, Shahidi and Zadran in the second wicket made the resilience to reach the tourists to the target before the intimidation of rain for the third time.

In the second wicket stand Liton and Najmul Hossain Shanto added 35 runs to stitch the innings before Mujeeb had the former in his second delivery of the twelfth over.
