BCB axes Rumana and Jahanara in preliminary squad against India

The Bangladesh Cricket Board on Monday announced a 19-member preliminary squad of the Bangladesh national women's team omitting their two senior campaigners Rumana Ahmed and Jahanara Alam for the series against India starts on July 9.

Rumana, who is touted as the nation's finest all-rounder, was axed from the last tour in Sri Lanka. 

The players will report for the camp in Dhaka on June 30, while their training will commence on July 1.

The India women’s team will arrive in Dhaka on July 6 to take part in the ODI and T20I series. 

The T20Is are scheduled for July 9, 11, and 13 at the SBNS, while the three ODIs, which are part of the 2022-25 ICC Women’s ODI Championship cycle, will be played on July 16, 19, and 22 at the same venue.
