Bangladesh opener trio Tamim Iqbal, Liton Das and Mohammad Naim haven’t suffered any noticeable strain that their management would need to lose their sleep in this connection ahead of their white-ball campaign against their Afghanistan counterparts starring in Chattogram on July 5.
‘See, if their strains were noteworthy, definitely our physiotherapists would have notified us. No worries, they are absolutely fine,’ said Bangladesh Cricket Board physician Manzur Hossain Chowdhury.
The concern rose after Bangladesh ODI captain Tamim left the second day of training bearing a strain on his back that he sustained during a fielding drill, while Liton was also spotted suffering from some pain after a ball from the thrower struck his right hand.
Simultaneously, backup opener Mohammad Naim was also hit by the ball on the upper part of his knee, however, he upheld batting.
Following the one-off Test against the touring Afghans, the home side is now all set to commence their white ball campaign with three one-day internationals starting in Chattogram, followed by two Twenty20 internationals in Sylhet.
