Afghanistan bowlers struck in the early morning as Bangladesh were bowled out before the day’s initial drink of the second day of the one-off Test at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Thursday.
Nijatullah Masood who claimed two wickets on the previous day further bagged there more wickets while Yamin Ahmadzai who remained wicketless on the opening day scalped two wickets to all out the hosts for 382 inside the 43rd minutes of the day’s game.
Bangladesh resumed their day on 362-5 with their overnight batsmen Mushfiqur Rahim and Mehidy Hasan Miraz who remained unbeaten on 41 and 43 runs respectively.
However, the duo could affix 4 and 5 runs respectively before they fell to Yamim and Nijat respectively leaving the side at a teetering 375-7.
Nijat then further claimed Taijul Islam [0] and Shoriful Islam [6] while Yamim had Taskin to bundle out the hosts for a humble total.
Najmul Hossain Shanto was the highest run getter for Bangladesh making 146, his third Test ton while their next highest 76 came from Mahmudul Hasan Joy’s bat.
