Bangladesh national team head coach Chandika Hathurusingha is set to arrive in Dhaka tonight after his holidays with family in Australia ahead of the series against Afghanistan that is scheduled to commence on June 14.
According to a Bangladesh Cricket Board official, the veteran Sri Lankan coach will land in Dhaka tonight at 10:40 p.m. through a Singapore Airlines carrier.
Upon his arrival, Hathurusingha is anticipated to appear at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on the following morning to oversee the Bangladesh national team’s unofficial training camp that has been under way since May 29.
However, BCB has yet to announce the squad for the full-fledged series against the visitors, which includes a lone Test, three one-day internationals, and two Twenty20 internationals.
The one-off Test is scheduled to be played from June 14–18 at the SBNCS, followed by the ODIs on July 5, 8, and 11 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram, and the T20Is at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on July 14 and 16.
