Bangladesh national cricket team’s spin bowling coach Rangana Herath is set to conduct a two-day special session with the High Performance Unit spinners in Dhaka on May 29-30.
The HP Unit is currently undergoing a month-long training camp ahead of the upcoming ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Sri Lanka in July.
According to a Bangldesh Cricket Board official since there is no permanent spin bowling coach with the HP Unit at the moment, therefore the former Sri Lankan spinner will complete skill sessions with seven of the current HP Unit spinners as per the request of the BCB’s Head of Programme David Moore.
Herath and other national coaching staff are expected to arrive in Dhaka by May 28.
Meanwhile, former Pakistani spinner Arshad Khan is expected to join the HP Unit from its Rajshahi phase camp, scheduled to start on June 1.
