The 2023 season of the Women’s Dhaka Premiere League is set to kick off in the three different venues of Dhaka division on Thursday.

In the opening day the of the nine teams meet, Mohammedan Sporting Club will take on Kalabagan Krira Chakra at BKSP-3, while Rupali Bank Krira Parisad will be playing against Gulshan Youth Club and Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan will encounter their City Club counterpart at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium and BKSP-1 respectively.

All the games will start at 9:30 a.m.

Bangladesh national women’s team chairman Shafiul Alam Chowdhury is expected to inaugurate the competition.

The 11-team tournament now looks to be a nine-team affair and national pacer Jahanara Alam expressed her frustration about the turn of events.

As in previous seasons, each club can field one foreigner in their playing eleven in the round robin league.
