The Bangladesh Cricket Board is set to commence the Bangladesh national team training camp on May 29 ahead of the series against Afghanistan.
The series is scheduled to kick off with the lone Test series at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium from June 14 to 18, followed by the three one-day internationals on July 5, 8, and 11 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chatogram, alongside the two Twenty20 internationals on July 14 and 16 in Sylhet.
Bangladesh national team selector Minhajul Abedin said that before the camp starts, they will announce the primary squad in the next couple of days, that will be settled at a meeting at the Bangladesh Cricket Board on Monday.
‘We are set to start the training camp on May 29. Before that, we are expected to announce a primary squad within the next two days,’ said Minhajul on Sunday.
However, he was reluctant to make any comment regarding the length of the squad.
‘It is still undecided how many members would be called-up for the squad. We would settle it in the meeting on Monday.
