Tagnraine Chandarpaul, Kirk McKenzie, Alick Athanze each scored an 80 plus score and Joshua Da Silva remained unbeaten on 73 that powered the West Indies ‘A’ team to 417-6 at stumps of the second day of the opener of the two four-day games against Bangladesh on Wednesday.
Tagnraine Chandarpaul, Kirk McKenzie, Alick Athanze finished with 83, 86, and 85 runs to manage the challenging total at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
Musfik Hasan was the standout bowler for the hosts, claiming 3-54, while Nayeem Hasan, Ripon Mondol, and Saif Hasan each took one wicket.
The tourists resumed their innings on 220-2 with their overnight batsmen Chandarpaul and Athanze, who stood on 70 and 35, respectively.
However, the former fell to Musfik following a 121-run stand in the third wicket with Athanze in 82.2 overs, followed by Brandon King just after four balls by the same bowler that shortened them to 281-4.
Athanze also followed their steps after an over.
Then, riding on Joshua and Kevin Sinclair’s bats, the Caribbean amassed the competitive total in 123 overs.
