Shakib ruled of third ODI

Bangladesh all rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been ruled out from the third and final one day international against Ireland as he suffered a fracture in his finger during fielding in the second ODI in Chelmsford, England on May 12.

The third and final ODI will be played at the same venue on May 14.

A Bangldesh Cricket Board official told Sports Mail that, although he was ruled out from the remaining match of the series however expected to be available in the next home series against Ireland in June.

'This is for sure that he is not going to take part in the third match, however, we are expecting that he would be available in the forthcoming series against Afghanistan.'

National Team physio Bayjedul Islam Khan said: “Shakib hurt the tip of his right index finger while attempting a catch yesterday in the second ODI."

“An X-ray today confirmed a fracture on the base of the index finger. Such injuries usually take around six weeks to heal. Unfortunately, this means he is not available for the last match against Ireland.” said Bayjedul.
