Bangladesh to bowl first aginst Ireland in 2nd ODI

Bangladesh skipper Tamim Iqbal has won the toss and chose to bowl first against Ireland in the rain-hit second of three one-day internationals in Chelmsford on Friday.

Considering the time curtailed due to rain, it will be a 45-over tie, given there are no further delays.

Both sides opted to remain unchanged with their playing XI.

Earlier on Tuesday, the opener of the series as well saw a washout on the back of the relentless rain that shattered Ireland’s hopes for direct qualification in the forthcoming ICC World Cup in India, paving the way for South Africa.

Bangladesh XI
Tamim Iqbal [capt], Litton Das, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mushfiqur Rahim [wk], Shakib Al Hasan, Towhid Hridoy, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Shoriful Islam, Ebadot Hossain, Taijul Islam, Hasan Mahmud.

Ireland XI
Paul Stirling, Stephen Doheny, Andrew Balbirnie [capt], Harry Tector, Lorcan Tucker, Curtis Campher, George Dockrell, Andrew McBrine, Mark Adair, Graham Hume, Josh Little.
