Bangladesh Under-19 team overcame their winless streak as they beat Pakistan by four wickets in a low scoring third of five youth-one-day internationals in Rajshahi on Thursday.
The victory aided the home side to lessen the series by 2-1.
Opener Adil Bun Sadik made a 34-ball 36 and Mohammd Shihab James alongside Jishan Alam finished with 27 and 24 to breeze past the target 155-6, in 26 overs, pursuing a humble 154 all-out in 41.4 overs by the touring side.
Rohanat Doullah Borson and Iqbal Hossain Emon each took three wickets for the home side.
Pakistan lost their way at the first set of their innings being sent to bat losing their five batsmen for a meager 54 in 16.6 overs.
In the sixth wicket stand Saad Baig and Arafat Minhas shared a valuable 43-run stand to curb the early damage.
However, it couldn’t aid them at a large scale as following their dismissal on 35 and 28 as the highest for the side, no other batsman stepped up to bolster their total.
Chasing down a moderate total, the junior Tigers made a decent start amassing 59 in the opening stand before Adil fell to Aimal Khan in 9.2 overs.
Then, banking on Shihab James’s 27, Jishan Alam 24 and 21 from Majharul Islam the home side reached the shore of victory with 144 balls to spare.
The fourth fixture of the game will be played on May 13 at the same venue.
