BCB boss likes to see Bangladeshis in the IPL

The Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hasan admitted that he only watches the Indian Premier League if any Bangladeshi player is included in the playing XI for a respective side; otherwise, he doesn’t.

Two Bangladeshi campaigners, Mustafizur Rahman and Liton Das, are currently staying in India for featuriing in the ongoing season of the T20 franchise competition in the outfits of the Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders, respectively.

‘In fact, the IPL is not being watched much. But this is not the case; I don’t see it [IPL] at all. If there is a Kolkata match, initially find out whether there is someone [Bangladeshi], and the same goes about the Delhi ties as well,’ said Nazmul on Monday in Mirpur.

‘If there is any, watch for a little longer. However, the timing of the contention clashes with Tarabih [Salat]. Still try to check out if there are any Bangladeshis or not.’

Bangladesh top order batsman Liton Das is yet to make his appearance for Kolkata, who have played five games in the meet so far, while Mustafizur Rahman, who was retained by Delhi, featured in two games but claimed only one wicket, being overpriced by 79 runs.
