The toothless bowling from the Bangladesh bowlers is toiling them vastly as they could do a slim damage to their Ireland counterparts in the early session on the third day of the one-off Test at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Thursday.
Left arm pacer Shoriful Islam took the only wicket that guided the visitors to post 93-5 as they were trailing by 62 runs at lunch in the first inning, in reply to 155 runs.
The Irish managed 214 all out while Bangladesh racked up 369 in their first innings, respectively.
Ireland, who resumed the innings on 27-4, with their overnight batsmen Harry Tector and Peter Moor who remained unbeaten on 8 and 10 runs respectively.
The duo continued until the day’s first one hour adding 38 runs in the fourth wicket stand before Moor gave a catch behind the stumps for 16 by Shofriful.
Meanwhile, Tector survived a catch drop on nine runs by Liton in the day’s second over.
Then Tector and Lorcan Tucker passed the remaining hours of the session without any trouble forming a 42-ball stand.
