The Bangladesh Cricket Board is all set to hand over the BDT 50 Lakh to the women footballers within the next couple of days, said the board’s chief executive officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury on Wednesday.
Earlier the BCB president Nazmul Hasan committed to hand BDT 50 Lakhs to the women footballers subsequently they clinched the SAFF Championship in September last year however the BCB failed to disburse the money from their account until today.
“Our Board president gave a commitment to give 50 Lakhs taka between the women’s footballers. We have spoken with BFF in this regard but we could not fix the time to handover the check."
"Our check is ready for three to four months and when they give us suitable time we will hand over the check to them,” Nizamuddin Chowdhury, BCB’s chief executive, told reporters on Wednesday.
“If that is not the case we will talk and take time from them and will hand over the check to them as soon as possible. If they cannot collect it within one or two days we will send it to them,” he said.
