Mushfiqur Rahim struck an unbeaten hundred that aided Bangladesh to take a 102-run lead against touring Ireland at tea on the second day of the one-off Test at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Wednesday.
With Mushfiqur standing on 124, his tenth Test ton, and Shakib Al Hasan finishing with a 94-ball 87 alongside a 41-ball 43 coming from Liton Das, Bangladesh posted 316-5 to surpass the visitors’ 214 they made in their first innings.
Mark Adair and Andy McBrine each scalped two wickets while Ben White took one.
