With Tamim Iqbal and Najmul Hossain Shanto finishing with 21 and a duck respectively while Mominul Haque standing on 12 the hosts managed 34-2 in reply to 214.

Earlier as Taijul scalped 5-58 and Ebaot Hossain, Mehidy Hasan Miraz took two wickets apiece the tourists managed the moderate total in 77.2 overs of their first innings prior to their dismissal.
Harry Tector scored the highest with 50 and Lorcan Tucker added 34 as the next highest for the side who are playing the red-ball cricket after 2019.
Ireland who were 48-3 three at lunch added 97 more in the day’s second session however lost three more wickets that lessened them to 145-6 at tea.
However, Taijul who claimed four wickets in the day’s initial two sessions, struck one again to pick up his eleventh fifer in the longest format of cricket while Miraz claimed the remaining wicket to depose the visitors.
