Bangladesh Cricket Board have imposed a one month ban on the uncapped pacer Mehedi Hasan Rana for making degrading remarks about national selection panel members on his verified Facebook page.

A BCB official said that the ban will bar Rana from featuring in the ongoing edition of the National Cricket League.

Rana met the BCB officials to give his explanation for a show cause notice recently and he accepted his mistake.

However, the pace man will be available for the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League scheduled to start in the first part of January 2023.

He (Rana) accepted his fault and that is the reason, we have banned him for a month,” said a BCB official.

The left-arm pace bowler accused the selectors on his verified Facebook page that they didn’t respond to his queries after they promised him a place in the 'A' team.
