Jason Roy struck a blistering hundred while Josh Buttler finished a quick fire fifty that powered England to a mammoth 326-7 against Bangladesh in the second of the three one-day internationals at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Friday.
That means the SBNCS saw its first 300 total since January 2018, when Sri Lanka managed 320-7 in the tri-nation series against their Bangladesh counterpart.
With Roy smacking a 124 ball 132, his twelfth ODI ton, and Buttler making a 64-ball 76, the world champions amassed a mammoth total.
Taskin Ahmed was the standout bowler for the home side, scalping 3-66, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz took 2, Shakib Al Hasan, and Taijul Islam took one wicket each.
Sent to bat, the tourists lost their opener Phill Salt on 25 after he gave a catch to Najmul Hossain Shanto by Taskin Ahmed in the seventh over.
In the second wicket stand, David Malan and Roy shared a 54-ball 58 to stitch the innings prior to the exclusion of the former for 11, who hit his fourth ODI hundred in the opening tie, by Miraz.
However, Roy carried on single-handedly, standing tall against the host bowlers at their surface, and added a pivotal 109 with his fellow teammate Buttler in the fourth wicket stand before he fell to Shakib, who pummeled eighteen fours and one maximum.
Then a 56 off 42 balls between Buttler and Moeen Ali in the sixth wicket stand guided the visitors to post a mammoth total before the duo were dismissed by Miraz and Taskin, respectively.
Sam Curran remained unbeaten on a stormy 19-ball 33.
