Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hasan said that they will incorporate the Decision Review System [DRS] in the play-off round of the ongoing episode of the Bangladesh Premier League that was unavailable during the league phase round.
‘Yes, we are going to incorporate DRS from the play-offs,’ said Nazmul Hasan on Tuesday in Mirpur.
The play-offs of this episode of BPL will be played from February 12 to 14 followed by the title decider on February 16 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
Previously, the Tigers' cricket administration was severely chastised for failing to provide technology during league phase ties, which rendered the competition insignificant and less competitive.
The BCB boss further clarified that, with the approaching Ireland series in mind, they wouldn’t issue a No Objection Certificate for their players who have been roped in by various franchises of the forthcoming Indian Premier League.
Bangladesh is scheduled to play three ODIs alongside a similar number of T20Is and a lone Test against the touring Ireland on their home soil starting on March 18 and continuing until April 8.
The next edition of the IPL is scheduled to commence on April 1 where Shakib Al Hasan and Liton Das have been picked up by the Kolkata Knight Riders, while Mustafizur Rahman has been retained by the Delhi Capitals.
