Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed who also played for the Dhaka Dominators in this edition of the Bangladesh Premier League is expected to regain full fitness ahead of the approaching home series against England, which starts on March 1 despite suffering a side strain.
Bangladesh national team selector Minhajul Abedin said that there is no reason to be worried about his appearance in the upcoming high-profile series.
‘His injury is not major. I hope he will fully fit ahead of our home series against England,’ said Minhajul on Monday.
Taskin’s injury indicates that the speed star will be sidelined during their league phase concluder of this edition of BPL against the Chattogram Challengers at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old right-handed pacer had a disappointing BPL season, taking only 10 wickets in nine games.
