Barishal, who are holding the second spot in the meet’s points table with 14 points from ten games, would surely be desperate to move up by surpassing the Sylhet Strikers, who are upholding the position with 16 points from their 11 encounters.
Comilla, on the other hand, is just behind Barishal, with the same number of points from the same number of ties due to the poor run rate.
The sides would face off against each other at 6:30 p.m. following the day’s initial game between the Dhaka Dominators and Chattogram Challengers at 1:30 p.m.
Nagarik TV will televise the battles live.
‘Our next two games are very important, especially tomorrow’s match. And we are moving forward in that way. We don’t have a chance to experiment anymore. We want to be in the top one or two [positions in the points table],' Khaled stated on Monday.
‘If we can win the match, there will be an opportunity to be in the midst of the top two teams.’
Defending champion Comilla, like Barishal, is hungry for their next two victories to cement their place among the top two contenders, and to do so, they are expected to include the Caribbean superstar duo of Sunil Narine and Andre Russell in their playing eleven.
According to the media wing of Comilla, the famed campaigners arrived in Dhaka on Monday night to feature in their remaining games in the BPL.
However, in the day’s preliminary encounter, Dhaka, who are in fifth place with six points from their eleven games, would surely be keen to manage a win over their Chattogram counterpart to complete their campaign on a shining note.
And, during the game, Dhaka captain Nasir Hossain will undoubtedly try to draw all attention to himself, as he currently holds the top spot among the competition's highest wicket takers with 16 wickets.
Simultaneously, they would also be longing to conclude their BPL campaign on a shining note by handing a defeat to Chattogram.
