Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, captain of Sylhet Strikers and former captain of the Bangladesh national team, has been ruled out of the last group phase match of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League season due to a groin injury.
Sylhet media wing confirmed to this reporter on Sunday that the 39-year-old, who was sidelined in the encounter against Rangpur Riders on Saturday on the back of his strain, also wouldn’t be able to feature in their last group phase game against Khulna Tigers on Wednesday.
The former Bangladesh skipper suffered the injury during their last tie of the Sylhet phase at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium against the Khulna Tigers.
