Considering the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s never-ending enthusiasm for Chandika Hathurusingha Bangladesh’s eminent coach Mohammad Salauddin feels that surely there is a magic wand in the latter’s hand to perform his role as a head coach.
The BCB reappointed the Sri Lankan coach as Tigers head coach for another two years.
"I think, the way we wanted Hathurusingha, he has a lot of magic wands. "Otherwise, we wouldn’t return someone forcibly after he left the role abruptly,’ said Salahuddin on Saturday in Mirpur after the match between the Comilla Victorians and Chattogram Challengers.
‘Of course, he holds some magic wands. Surely, they hope to get plenty of fruitful outcomes,’ he added.
However, following the appointment of the head coach for the Tigers, the BCB is now thinking of appointing an assistant coach.
Salahuddin believes if the board hired someone among the board’s employees, it would be better.
"I believe it would be preferable if those working in the board picked up because they have been here for a longer period of time."
