The England and Wales Cricket Board has named strong squads for the ODIs and T20Is against Bangladesh, scheduled to start on March 1.
Uncapped batsman Tom Abell, who is set to captain the England Lions in the upcoming ODI series in Sri Lanka, is included in both squads, while leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed managed his first call-up to an England white-ball squad.
Saqib Mahmood is selected for the ODI squad as he prepares to make his return to full international cricket following the back injury he suffered last May.
The three-match T20 series will be England’s first since being crowned world champions following last November’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia.
The visitors will play three one-day internationals alongside a similar number of 20-over internationals during the visit.
The ODIs are scheduled for March 1, 3, and 6, and the T20Is will be played on March 9, 12, and 14 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur and the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram, respectively.
