Taskin Ahmed ran rampant with the ball that powered the Dhaka Dominators to their second win in the Bangladesh Premier League as they beat the Khulna Tigers by 24 runs at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Tuesday.

With Taskin claiming 4-9, Khulna were bundled out for 84 runs in 15.3 overs, chasing down a paltry 108 by Dhaka.

Soumya Sarkar, who had been undergoing a frustrating spell of batting, hit the highest 57 off 45 balls for Dhaka.

Nahidul Islam was the standout bowler for Khulna, picking up 4-6 while Nasum Ahmed claimed 3 wickets.

Tamim Iqbal made a 23-ball 30 as a top scorer for Khulna.

Sent to bat Dhaka suffered a batting collapse as they lost their top order quartet for 38.

Then in the fifth wicket stand, skipper Nasir Hossain and Soumya shared a crucial 33-ball, 40 run stand that aided the team to surpass 100.

In reply, banking on Tamim's 30 and Yasir Ali Chowdhury's 21 Khulna managed a meager total prior to their complete dismissal.
