Liton Das struck a blazing fifty that powered Comilla Victorians to a five-wicket win against the table topper Sylhet Strikers in the Bangladesh Premier League at the Zahur Ahmed Choudhury Stadium, Chattogram on Tuesday. 

Defending champions reached the moderated 134-5 with a over to spare courtesy of Liton’s  a 42-ball 70, in reply to 133-7.

That means the titlist met their two wins in five games in the port city. 

Hasan Ali and Mukidul Islam were pick among the Comilla bowlers picking up two wickets each.

For Sylhet, Imad Wasim and Thishara Perera stood on a 33-ball 40 and 31-ball 43 run respectively.

Sent to bat,  Sylhet lost their top seven batsmen for 53 in 9.3 overs.

Then in the tail, Imad Wasim and Perera added a gutsy 63-ball 80 run to surpass the hundred threshold for the side.

Pursuing a meager target, Comilla landed the shore of their successive second victory thanks to Liton's flurry first fifty in this edition of BPL.
