Rangpur Riders captain Nurul Hasan Sohan has been ruled out of their remaining match in the Bangladesh Premier League's Chattogram phase due to a side strain, according to the team's head coach Sohel Islam.
The wicketkeeper batsman is expected to return to the playing eleven in their approaching match against the Comilla Victorians on January 23 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
‘Sohan is not undergoing a major injury. We are expecting him to join the game after the next game of the Chattogram episode,’ said Sohel to New Age on Tuesday.
Sohan couldn’t feature in the game against their Khulna Tigers’ counterpart of the day at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram, and would also be missing out the following encounter against the Fortune Barsishal on Thursday at the same venue.
Rangpur Riders Pakistan all-rounder Shoiab Malik has been handed the role as the stand-in captain due to his absenteeism.
