Bangladesh Premier League franchise owner Rangpur Rider has named Nurul Hasan Sohan as their captain for the forthcoming edition of the tournament that starting on January 6.
In a reaction after being appointed as a captain for the former champions, Nurul said on Sunday that it would be significant for them to perform as a team in the competition.
‘Of course I am feeling good. However, I feel it’s important to finish with a good note as a team,’ he said during their opening day training at Bashundhara Kings Arena in the capital.
The 29-year-old further promised to overlook off-field affairs during the contention to mark a sublime success.
‘There will be ample off the field affairs that wouldn't be within our grip. However, we would omit those thoughts to focus on our performance.'
The wicketkeeper also promised to give their best to earn a good result in the country’s lone glamorous tournament.
‘I think it’s an ideal platform to do something good. It’s a huge opportunity for those who are on our side. If we can give our best all together, hoping for something good.
