Bangladesh U-19 women’s team captain Dia Biswas promised to play some good cricket when they encounter their counterparts in the approaching U-19 Women’s World Cup to be held in South Africa from January 14–29.
The team will leave Dhaka for Johannesburg on Sunday at 9:30 p.m. to vie in the global event.
It’s a good team. I am happy with my side. I believe we would be able to play good cricket that would help us induce a good result,’ said Dia on Saturday in Mirpur.
She further acknowledged that their all-rounders would bolster them during the showcase event, adding that if every member of their side can perform, it will be easy to finish on a good note.
‘The combination we have is fantastic. If we can perform well together, that would hand us a good result. We have a substantial number of all-rounders that would bolster our side.’
Bangladesh who are slated in Group A will take on Australia, Sri Lanka and the United States of America.
