Bangladesh batsman Mahmudullah refused the proposal of the selection panel on playing for the BCB XI in the forthcoming series against Tamil Nadu scheduled to commence on October 12, confirmed national team chief selector Minhajul Abedin.
Minhajul told on Thursday that along with the other senior members of the Bangladesh national team they also offered Mahmudullah to visit India but he denied.
BCB XI is scheduled to leave for Chennai on October 9 to play two four-day and three one-days against the hosts from October 12 to 31.
Here is not the end, the axed campaigner from the ICC T20 World Cup squad also refused to play in the upcoming National Cricket League starting October 10.
‘Along with other national team members we also offered him to visit India featuring for the BCB XI but he declined,’said Minhajul.
‘Even he [ Mahmudullah] denied us to play in the NCL while Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim will be available in the tournament. Although Mushfiqur had an injury issue, he is expected to start his training session on October 17,’concluded the Tigers chief selector.
