Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and top order batsman Liton Das was roped by Kolkata Knight Riders for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League.

Shakib was roped for INR 1.5 crore while Liton was picked up for his base price INR 50 lak.

However the other two Bangladeshi cricketers; Taskin Ahmed and Afif Hossain who included in the final list of the auction for the tournament went unsold.

Thus Liton became the only seventh Bangladeshi to be picked by an IPL side after Mohammad Ashraful, Abdur Razzak, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal and Mustafizur Rahman.

Meanwhile Mustafizur Rahman has been retained by Delhi Capitals.
