With Mehidy Hasan Miraz slipping Iyer on 19 followed by a missed stumps by Nurul Hasan on 21 and Mushfiqur Rahim dropping Pant on 59 the duo went untroubled on a 68-ball 58 and 89-ball 86 at tea, respectively to manage 226-4 for the tourists that trailing the hosts by 1 run.

Virat Kohli who went unscratched until lunch for 18, eventually fell to Taskin Ahmed soon-after the day’s initial break for 24 to leave the side on 94-4.

However, Pant shared a crucial 141- ball 132 run stand with Iyer in the fifth wicket stand to bounce back the visitors in the game.

Earlier with Taijul Islam scalping three wickets early on the day the visitors were lessened to 86-3 at lunch.

The home side was all-out for 227 in their first inning
