Najmul Hossain Shnato and Zakir Hasan went undefeated in the final session of the day-three play still Bangladesh were trailing by 471-run in the second innings of first of the two-match Test series against India at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram on Friday.
Shanto and Zakir stood on 25 and 17 respectively to score 42-0 in their second innings at stumps.
Earlier, riding on Shubman Gill and Cheteshwar Pujara’s 110 and 102 runs respectively the visitors declared their second innings on 258-2 that handed them a mammoth 513-run lead.
India made 404 in their first innings. Khaled Ahmed ans Taijul Islam took one wicket each.
Earlier of the day, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel struck in the early session to depose Bangladesh for a sorry 150 run.
Kuldeep scalped five wickets while Mohammad Siraj claimed three and Umesh Yadav, Axar took one wicket each.
Bangladesh resumed their inning on 133-8 with their overnight batsmen Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Ebadot Hossain who remained unbeaten on 16 and 13 runs respectively.
However the duo shared a 42-run stand in the ninth wicket stand before Ebadot fell on 17-run to complete Yadav's first five wicket haul for any India bowler at ZACS.
Later riding on Miraz's 82-ball 25 runs the home side managed a meager 150 before he was dismissed by Axar in 55.5 overs.
