Following the removal of Sreayas Iyer in the early morning Ravi Chandran Ashwin went undefeated at lunch of the day-two play to rebound India in the opener of the two-match Test series at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram on Thursday.
Ashwin alongside his partner Keldeep Yadav stood on 40 and 21 respectively to drag the visitors to 348-7.
Iyer, who earlier survived a catch drop by Liton Das was removed by Ebadot Hossain for 86 leaving the tourists on 293-7.
Touring India resumed the innings on 278-6 with their overnight batsman Iyer remaining unbeaten on 82.
