Bangladesh left-arm pacer Shoriful Islam has been ruled out of the ongoing Test series against India after he suffered a hamstring injury.
Bangladesh national teams chief selector Minhajul Abedin told on Wednesday that the southpaw has been advised to undergo a moderate rehab program.
'Yes, Shoriful has been ruled out on the back of hamstring injury', said Minhajul.
The young pacer who was included in the 17-man squad for the two-match Test series against India was not picked up in the playing XI of the ongoing first Test in Chattagram.
The second and final tie will be held from December 22 to 26 at the Sher-e-Bangla Bangla National Stadium.
