Mehidy Hasan Miraz hit an eye-popping unbeaten hundred that powered Bangladesh to a challenging 271-7 against India in the second of the three-match ODIs at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Wednesday.
Miraz stood on a robust 100 off 83 balls, hitting eight fours and four maximums.
Earlier, Miraz and his fellow partner Mahmudullah who made a 96-ball 77 shared a crucial 148-run partnership in the seventh wicket stand to rescue Bangladesh from an inescapable batting collapse that guided them to 7-217 from 6-69.
This was their second-highest partnership in the seventh wicket stand, as well as their highest partnership against India at any wicket stand.
In the tail off-spinner Nasum Ahmed smacked a quickfire 11-ball 18 to bolster the hosts total.
Washington Sundar was the pick among the bowlers scalping 3-73 while Mohammad Siraj and Umran Malik took two wickets each.
