The Bangladesh national team batting consultant is set to play the same role for the Bangladesh ‘A’ team during the forthcoming unofficial Test series against India ‘A’ team starts on November 29.
Bangladesh Cricket Board operations chairman Mohammad Jalal Yunus told reporters on Sunday that the Australian coach will join the senior team once his task with the junior Tigers is over.
‘Yes, we have assigned him [Siddons] for the series against the India ‘A’ team. He would return to his preliminary engagement with the senior team once he is finished with the ‘A’ team,’ said Jalal Yunus.
India ‘A’ team, who meanwhile arrived in Bangladesh on November 25 to play two unofficial Tests against the hosts, are currently staying in Cox’s Bazar to feature in the opener of the series at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium from November 29 to December 2.
After the conclusion of the tie, both sides would travel to Sylhet for encountering the second and series concluder.
The final game of the series is scheduled from December 6 to 9 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
