Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hasan said that if anyone considers him helpless within the board he has nothing to do with it and he is unwilling to comment on this.
Recently, in an interview with a satellite TV channel, country’s famed engineer and former BCB director, Mubasshar Hussein, criticized the BCB chief vigorously, claiming that Nazmul is helpless inside the board.
However, BCB boss called Mubasshar a liar and further questioned: Does it suit him?
‘Mubasshar Bhai has been lying relentlessly, does it suit him? Now if anyone feels that I am helpless, I have nothing to say. No comments,' said Nazmul following the BCB’s seventh meeting of the directors on Sunday.
'If he is content knowing that I am dependent, so let it be, let him be happy. I am extreemely helpless,’ he added.
In his interview, the former board director criticized Nazmul Hasan for his role in the inclusion and exclusion of members of the national team from squads for various competitions over the years.
Nazmul, on the other hand, denied all the allegations.
‘I am used to get the squad on the match day. In 90 percent of the cases, I receive it when both sides complete their sheet, team manager supposed to send it to me. I said earlier that l could anticipate the probable squad if Khaled Mahumd is there.’
They also say that it will be decided tomorrow morning, after inspecting the wicket, how many pacers and spinners will play.
‘If there is any doubt in one's mind, it is very easy to know as there are three captains and you can ask them. You can question them, if I have ever told for inclusion or exclusion in the squad following the departure of Hathurusingha?’
Meanwhile, BCB Cricket Operations Chairman Mohammad Jalal Yunus said the board has handed the design of the under-construction Sheikh Hasina International Cricket Stadium to its designer.
‘Populous architecture has been handed the design. We are set to sign a contract with them that we have approved today. We would be able to start the task within the six-months of the signing the contract.’
