Bangladesh pace bowling coach Allan Donald would be available in the approaching home series against India starting in the next month, said Bangladesh Cricket Board chief executive officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury to media.
Although the former South African legendary pacer signed a contract with the BCB up to the ongoing edition of the ICC T20 World Cup however, the board opted to extend it.
‘He (Donald) is available during the home series against India,’ said Nizamuddin.
‘His contract (that is signed till the ICC T20 World Cup) is an internal matter but he is available during India, he added.
Meanwhile, following an average performance by the Tigers in the ICC T20 World Cup now it seems BCB has turned their focus on the forthcoming series.
Therefore, the BCB’s cricket operations had a meeting with chief selector Minhajul Abedin and technical consultant Khaled Mahmud at the BCB headquarters in Mirpur on Sunday while it was also attended by ODI skipper Tamim Iqbal to discuss about the 50-over format squad for the India series.
India national team will arrive in Bangladesh on December 1 to participate in a three-match one-day international and Two Tests against the Tigers.
The Tests matches are part of the second cycle of the ICC World Test Championship.
The ODIs are scheduled on December 4, 7, and 10 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, while the opener of the two Tests will be played at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattrogam, followed by the second Test at the SBNCS.
