The Bangladesh Cricket Board has shifted their focus on the forthcoming series against India starting in the next month soon-after the Tiger's twenty 20 World Cup campaign in Australia.
India, who are expected to arrive in Bangladesh on December 1, will appear in three one-day internationals and two Tests against the hosts.
The ODIs will be played on December 4, 7, 10 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium while the first Test will be held at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattrogram followed by the second Test at the SBNCS.
Taking the high voltage series on a serious note the BCB chief executive officer Nizamddin Chowdhury told media on Tuesday that they already started their official procedures to make it successful.
‘India series is a high voltage series. Meanwhile we held an inter-ministerial meeting in this connection. Apart from that we have been holding the inter-departmental coordination meeting routinely,’ said BCB CEO.
How would the security arrangements for the touring side? In response to this question Nizamuddin asserted that the government's security department would take care of it.
‘The security department that our government has will decide in this regard. However we will submit our demand for a standard protocol in an international series.’
He further added that India ‘A’ team will visit Bangladesh before their senior team to take on Bangladesh ‘A’ team in two four-day games.
Meanwhile another BCB high-up confirmed to New Age that the four-day series will start at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on November 29.
