Bangladesh national team will return to home on Monday night after their ICC T20 World Cup campaign in Australia, confirmed, Bangladesh Cricket Board.
According to the board's media the Tigers leave Adelaide at 10:30am tomorrow morning for Dhaka via Singapore. The team is scheduled to reach Dhaka at 10:40pm BST tomorrow (Monday, 07 Nov).
Undoubtedly it was a monumental World Cup campaign for the Tigers as they could earn two wins in the main stage of any T20 World cup.
Before coming into this World Cup, Bangladesh could only bag a lone win at the main stage of the T20 World Cup, which came against South Africa in 2007.
But in the eighth edition, the Tigers registered two wins against the Netherlands and Zimbabwe that kept their slim chances of qualifying for the last-four of the tournament for the first time.
However, Shakib Al Hasan and his troops failed to endure the tempo as they suffered straight two against India and Pakistan in their last two Super 12 ties.
With the loss Bangladesh were knocked out from the Super 12 that also dashed their semi-final dreams which they dreamed after the Netherlands dumped South Africa earning a 13-run upset win in the day’s first game at the same venue.
