South Africa enforced follow-on on Bangladesh after wrapping up the hosts for 159 in the first innings just after the lunch session on Day 3 of the second and final cricket Test at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium today.
A follow-on scare loomed large heavily when Bangladesh were reduced to 48-8 after resuming the day at 38-4. The inevitable was delayed due to Mominul Haque's resistance who put on 103 for the ninth wicket stand with Taijul Islam.
The 103 was Bangladesh's third highest for any partnership against South Africa.
Once Senuran Muthusamy dismissed Mominul for 82 by denying him a century, Bangladesh's resistance came to an end.
Keshav Maharaj then removed Taijul for 30 to wrap up Bangladesh's innings.
Kagiso Rabada was the wrecker-in-chief with 5-37.
Bangladesh still needed 416 runs to make South Africa batting for the second time as the Proteas declared their innings at 575-6.
